The Wonders of The Morning Sun
We live in a fast-paced world where our
schedules are getting the best of us. Most people move from home to work and
this cycle is repeated throughout the year with little or no time to enjoy what
has been given to us free "the sun". If we can just take 30 minutes
out of our very busy morning schedule and enjoy some coffee on the porch or
watching the early morning birds while taking in the sun, some drastic changes
will be seen in our overall health.
Sunlight exposure triggers the release of serotonin, often called the "happy hormone." Spending just half an hour basking in the morning Sun, can enhance your mood, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, and promote mental clarity. We indeed have struggles and worries which tend to affect our daily productivity and social lives. Getting some good morning sun will help there is absolutely no harm in giving you some good vibes before embarking on the hefty daily tasks.
Exposure to natural light in the morning helps regulate your body's internal clock, known as the circadian rhythm. This can improve the quality of your sleep, enhance alertness during the day, and contribute to an overall sense of well-being. Just 30 minutes of morning sun can set the tone for a well-balanced and energized day. Sunlight stimulates the production of cortisol, a hormone that helps wake up your body and mind.
By incorporating 30 minutes of morning sun daily, you are telling
your body "Hey! It is time to get active" Your metabolism is
supercharged and ready to roll. We certainly need energy if we are to keep up
with the fast-paced world we now live in. While it's essential to protect your
skin from excessive sun exposure, moderate morning sun can have positive
effects. It promotes the synthesis of Vitamin D, which is beneficial for skin
health and can contribute to a clearer complexion. If you tend to spend long
hours under the sun then make sure to have some sunscreen as you don't want to
end up with skin burns. Skin burns are associated with the hotter part of the
day past noon.
For as little as 30 minutes, the morning sun offers a wealth of benefits for your physical and mental well-being. Whether it's a brisk walk outside, enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch, or simply basking in the sunlight, taking advantage of this golden hour can be a transformative addition to your daily routine.
